Palouse Prairie
Restoration
Eastern Washington University approached MT-LA to formulate a master plan for 150 acres of university owned farmland adjacent to the current campus. In conforming with Eastern Washington University’s sustainability goals to coincide with Washington State’s policy shift towards sustainability for public facilities.
MT-LA approached the master plan programming to restore the existing farmland to the native/historic landscape while allowing for EWU student and staff research and recreational use, in the elements of a path system for hiking and cross country, vantage overlooks, and research land plots, that would be conducive to allowing the Palouse Prairie flora and fauna thrive.
