Kendall Yards Parks and Open Space Master Planning
Kendall Yards is a new neighborhood in the City of Spokane, that showcases an integrated mixed use community, with a distinctly urban style. Designed to be pedestrian oriented, Kendall Yards provides easy access and connectivity to surrounding neighborhoods and downtown Spokane. The Kendall Yards parks and open space plan is built on the 1908 Olmstead Brothers vision for a Great Gorge Park in the heart of the city. The key unifying element of the plan is the long awaited extension of the Centennial Trail from Monroe to the Sandifur Pedestrian Bridge and Summit Boulevard to the northwest. The new linear park on the north rim of the gorge connects existing and proposed parks and open space within Kendall Yards. -
