Since 2002, the team at Michael Terrell Landscape Architecture has been providing master planning and landscape architecture services for both public and private facilities throughout the inland northwest. Our approach is unique in that we listen to our clients and diligently work within a greater community context to achieve success on each project. We have extensive experience in master planning the development of residential and mixed-use projects from conceptual design through construction and property management. Mike Terrell has been personally responsible for the design of over 20 parks and recreation projects throughout the Inland Northwest during his 27 year career.

    Raised on a farm in Idaho and answering the call of the sea with the Navy, Mike has always had one foot on land and the other in the water. Mike’s passion for the profession is firmly rooted in a commitment to solve challenging problems with innovative solutions from his unique perspective. He is an enthusiastic leader and teacher, whose experience ranges from urban planning, public infrastructure, parks of all sizes, and schools. He believes that the spaces we create should truly be to River District and CenterPlace Plaza. Weekends and vacations find Mike and his wife camping and kayaking throughout the west.

  • Jeff Stiltz

    Landscape Architect

    Jeff’s interest in landscape architecture ranges from accessible playgrounds to large scale sports facilities. His passion for the profession stems from his passion for designing places that people return to time after time. He enjoys applying technology to projects in order to develop solutions that align with our client’s vision. Jeff is adept at facilitating community engagement processes from one-on-one interviews to community workshops. A United States Air Force veteran, he is committed to serving the communities that he works with. His master’s thesis focused on the economic valuations of urban parkland. Away from work, Jeff pursues backpacking, fly fishing and travel, ideally all wrapped into one trip!

  • Staci Heathman

    Landscape Architect

    Staci is interested in creating projects that are founded on larger scale master planning principles and executed at a fine scale to create the types of environments that are accessible to all. She has a wide range of experience, from urban plazas to EWU’s Climate Resiliency Landscape Master Plan. Staci prioritizes providing a place for all by means of community engagement, accessibility, and sustainability. Staci is a talented photographer and can frequently be found hiking or skijoring with her husband and two dogs.
